The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences in the Emory University School of Medicine seeks a Director for the Division of Abdominal Imaging. This large division (>20 faculty) provides services across the spectrum of advanced body imaging including CT, ultrasonography, MRI, fluoroscopy, and PET-MR. The division supports a premier academic abdominal imaging fellowship program and is integral to the success of Emory’s highly-ranked diagnostic radiology residency. A new health science research facility is being constructed which will house Emory’s Center for System Imaging, including comprehensive PET and high-field MRI programs. The Emory University Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences houses state-of-the-art resources in a vibrant academic and expanding multihospital and outpatient system with a large subspecialized clinical and research faculty in a supportive, diverse, and collegial environment. Emory operates the premier healthcare system in Georgia and has the only NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in the state. Candidates should have demonstrated enthusiasm in fostering faculty development and mentoring the next generation of leaders. Desired qualities also include the ability to grow the division in its clinical, educational, and research missions in alignment with broader institutional strategies. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in abdominal radiology, ABR Board certified and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
