Most clinical leaders have a handle on the responsibilities of the VP of Clinical Services role, in terms of oversight, compliance, quality of care, leadership and mentoring. What differentiates this role from the rest is that we need an RN with a grasp on the Big Picture, who can be a visionary when it comes to anticipating future needs of their senior living residents, and who can also gently guide their teams (and residents) through adapting to those changes.
VP of Clinical and Health Services is accountable for achieving care quality goals and outcomes. This is a key member of the senior leadership team, providing essential conceptual leadership and reporting directly to the President, collaborating to deliver the highest standards of consistent, compliant & compassionate care while promoting a premium level experience for the lives of residents and for their families too.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Provide clinical teams throughout the organization with the needed tools and education to excel in offering excellent care daily to all residents
- Ensure that potential new leaders are identified, mentored and offered the opportunity to grow, as well as verifying that new hires to the company are both highly capable and caring
- Develop onboarding programs that are effective and ensure they are delivered with clarity, so that new hires have an accurate sense of what is expected of them
- Work with interdisciplinary leaders to ensure that continuing education services are not just provided, but provided to a peak standard
- Offer supportive critique, encouragement and coaching to all clinical and health services leadership from property level to regional roles
- Observe current situation at the community level and forecast how to best model future plans to accommodate the essential needs of residents as those needs change and evolve, while remaining agile enough to adjust as unforeseen situations arise
- Act as the face of the company, an advocate and a champion, as you interact with our business partners
- Oversee development and implementation of consistent philosophies, systems and processes over the whole organization to ensure ongoing compliance with State and Federal regulations and standards for all care for Assisted Living and Memory Care including policies pertaining to safety and infection control
- Develop standards and practices that correlate with current CDC Core Practices for infection prevention and control. Will nest these practices into all aspects of nursing and care for all residents, ensuring safety and protection from infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, Influenza and Norovirus.

Ideal candidates will bring: - Current valid Registered Nursing license in Washington State and/or California (RN in WA/ CA) and/or the ability to earn WA or CA RNs within the first year in the company
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and ideally a Master's Degree (nursing, gerontology, healthcare administration, or similar)
- Executive level leadership experience within geriatric nursing or gerontology, with education in the aging process, memory decline and related behavior management
- Passion for Senior Living industry change, with confidence to lead others through change, and approach problems with creativity
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Continuously updated knowledge of safety and infection prevention and control practices
- Computer savvy with Microsoft Office suite and other software applications including electronic medical records
- Adept ability to collaborate with others and support successful outcomes for all involved
- Love of identifying a diamond in the rough and mentoring them toward future greatness
- Desire to live in the greater Seattle area of Western Washington
