Advocate Aurora Health and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center seek a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as the next President for Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center (ASMMC). This leader will be charged with providing leadership for the medical center while maintaining the strong momentum and focus on achieving excellence in service and clinical quality.
ASMMC is a full-service hospital with a commitment to medical excellence, innovation and safety. ASMMC has been providing care to the community since 1931 and offers 48 specialties on campus, with clinical expertise and specialties including orthopedics, back and spine care, women's services, cancer care, emergency services, and behavioral health services. The medical center is comprised of 185 beds, with 492 physicians and 303 nurses as part of the clinical team. In June 2019, construction began on a $324 million hospital with a goal of opening in June 2022. The new facility will include a 345,000-square foot medical center connected to a 115,000 square foot medical office building. ASMMC is a member of Advocate Aurora Health, one of the 10 largest not-for-profit, integrated health systems in the United States and a leading employer in the Midwest with more than 70,000 employees, including more than 22,000 nurses and the region’s largest employed medical staff and home health organization.
The next President will embrace the mission and vision of Advocate Aurora Health and be a member of a highly collaborative, integrated system and hospital leadership team. The incumbent will have a strong record of building close working relationships with the community, physicians, and colleagues locally and across the enterprise. They will communicate a clear and compelling vision and roadmap for the future and inspire physicians, colleagues and the community to work toward that vision collaboratively. The President will have the opportunity to translate the future vision for the hospital into an executable plan focused on safety, quality, performance and growth while also playing an integral role within the hospital, region, and system to advance local and system-level goals.
It is critical for the next President to have experience in leading an organization that provides high quality care while driving impactful change to advance patient care. They will have a track record of balancing local needs while working collaboratively across an integrated system. Candidates must have experience building positive physician relationships and possess a service orientation with a demonstrated ability to foster a culture of engagement. This President will be a visible member of the Sheboygan community, fostering communication internally and externally across all organizational stakeholders.
