We are actively looking for Vice President, Chief Medical Officer for our location.
The VP, CMO will report to the Medical Center President (or designee) and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Chief Quality Officer, Senior Vice President at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). At each hospital, the CMO is the HMH administrative leader is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the daily clinical activities of the medical staff and advanced practice providers. S/he oversees improvement of all aspects of clinical quality and performance improvement. the CMO serves as the key administrative liaison to the medical staff and advocates o their behalf, S/he works collaboratively with department chairs, collaborates with the Director of Medical Affairs; collaborates with medical school leadership and faculty, hospital administration, and nursing leaders to drive the organization to higher levels of performance and innovation.
Other areas of responsibility are:
Responsible for the oversight of the Medical Staff Office functions of credentialing, privileging, departmental meetings, oversight of internal medical staff governance, reported metrics, peer review and Network metrics
Responsible for the oversight of Clinical Quality as pertinent to the medical staff publicly reported metrics. peer review and Network metrics.
Responsible for patient satisfaction metrics as pertinent to physicians.
Responsible for Care Management collaboration: oversight of Physician Advisors, length of stay, through clinical documentation;; network targets of reduction of excess days
