Headquartered in Midland, TX, The Village at Manor Park is a not-for-profit corporation managed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. As a licensed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Manor Park offers six levels of care across their 65-acre campus, ultimately serving over 600 residents on a daily basis. Their caring staff, dedicated leadership team, and engaged Board of Trustees are committed to serving senior adults by providing them quality homes, health care services, programs, and activities. Their vision is to be a vibrant retirement community in which all residents live to the fullest.
Since, 1970, The Village at Manor Park has been the premier continuing care retirement community in the Permian Basin. They are continually growing and changing to serve the better needs of their community. They offer over 35 floor plans to their independent living residents and are currently developing Village South at Manor Park, a new village and cottage enclave on the south side of their campus. In addition to the new homes, a new community center will be at the center of the Village providing an art studio, bistro, and other activity spaces. In addition, they offer an exceptional activities and dining program, a Village Pantry store, a pharmacy on-site, barbershop, chapels, libraries, wellness center, and many beautiful outdoor gathering areas.
Their Helen Greathouse Manor Assisted Living offers assistance in activities of daily living in 86 private, one-bedroom apartments. The Vogel Center Assisted Living offers 29 private apartments in a home-like atmosphere for residents in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or related disorders who need memory support. Committed to all stages of memory care, Manor Park also has a 58 bed John F. Younger Alzheimer’s Care Center that offers 24-hour nursing supervision, medication management, protective oversight, and behavioral intervention in a secure environment. In addition, their 88 bed Mabee Health Care Center offers private and semi-private rooms.
In 2008, the Board of Trustees collaborated with Action Pact and embarked on research regarding an operating culture called “Resident Centered Care”. This led to the opening in 2014 of their two new Households named Cowden Cottage and Scharbauer Cottage that each serve about 20 residents in a homelike, long-term care nursing home setting with staff trained in Resident Centered Care.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the next President & CEO will have a successful track record of achieving results, setting proper expectations, and having governance in place. He/she will have proven success managing results, and navigating relationships with boards, residents, and employees. An ideal candidate would be a humbled leader who leads with compassion towards their employees and residents.

To Board of Trustees:
With the Chairperson of the Board, develops agendas for meetings, so that the Board can fulfill all its responsibilities effectively.
Sees that the Board and the Chairperson are kept fully informed on the condition of Manor Park, Inc. and all important factors influencing it.
Gets the best thinking and involvement of each Board Member. Stimulates each one to give his/her best.
Works with the Chairperson to make the committee structure of the Board function effectively.
With the Chairperson and the Trustees’ Nominating Committee, recommends the composition of the Board.
With the Chairperson, recommends the composition of the Board committees.
As President & CEO:
Responsible for the Corporation's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. Prepares personal goals annually and submits them to the Executive Committee for their approval soon after the annual performance appraisal.
Makes certain that the Corporation's philosophy and mission statements are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.
Assures that the Corporation has a long-range strategy that achieves its mission and towards which it makes consistent and timely progress.
Makes certain that the flow of funds permits the Corporation to make steady progress towards the achievement of its mission and that those funds are allocated properly to reflect present needs and future potential.
Stays abreast of industry events and trends.
Sees that there is an effective management team with provision for succession.
Ensures the development and implementation of employee training and development plans and programs that will provide the human resources necessary for the achievement of the Corporation's mission.
Maintains a climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates top-quality people -- both professional and volunteer.
Serves as the chief spokesman for Manor Park, Inc. and thereby sees that the Corporation is properly represented to its various publics and fundraising activities.
Oversees and directs expansion of programs, services, and major construction projects as authorized by the Board of Trustees.
• Progressive experience as a leader and manager in a corporate/multiple facility organization which may include continuing care retirement communities.
• Articulate, effective communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Evaluate, collaborate, plan, analyze, assess, build consensus, delegate and problem solve.
• Analyze financial reports and information, conduct strategic and tactical planning activities with the senior management team and practice essential stewardship functions to manage assets and resources.
•Degree in business administration, management, and organization, gerontology, human resource/finance, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
