President and CEO – Gainesville, Florida: Oak Hammock, an upscale, Type A Life Plan Community, affiliated with the University of Florida, seeks an experienced CEO for this LPC offering 269 IL, 46 AL, 24 Memory Care and 73 SNF on a beautiful 130-acre campus.
Residents include a well?educated group of retired academics and business professionals, many with connections to the University of Florida (UF). Pre-COVID, residents gave more than 27,000 hours of service a year, much of it to the larger community. An active Residents Association oversees a variety of resident activities and provides support to governance and management.
The campus of 130 acres is secluded and surrounded by magnificent live oaks, adorned with Spanish moss. It is a beautiful, wooded site with ponds, walking paths, community gardens and a play area for children. The Commons area include a state?of?the?art fitness center, heated pools, library, business and computer center, auditorium, gift shop, bank, and a full-service bar and lounge, as well as options for formal, casual and take?out dining. Other site amenities include tennis courts, a dog park, a large wood working shop and parking for boats and recreational vehicles. Among the many unique services, Oak Hammock offers residents a Veterinary Clinic on site sponsored by the College of Veterinary Medicine at UF. The Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR), an exceptional program for Life?long Learning, offers residents a variety of outstanding educational opportunities throughout the year.
Oak Hammock is a Type A LPC. Entrance fee options include a traditional Nonrefundable plan; a 50% Refundable plan; and a 90% Refundable program. The independent living census is 97%. Assisted Living and Healthcare were at or near full capacity pre-COVID. New construction of additional SNF and AL Suites was completed in 2017. Master planning for future expansion is in the early stages.
Oak Hammock has approximately 490 residents with 360 staff members (250 FTE’s). The operating budget for 2021 has over $40 million in revenue.
Successful candidate must possess a passion for serving older adults; proven staff development capability, financial acumen, and strong communication and planning skills; as well as experience with consensus building and process improvement. BA req.; MS pref. Ten years of senior leadership exp. required; NHA licensure/eligibility preferred.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports to the twelve-member Board of Directors and has overall responsibility for all aspects of operations. The position is available immediately.
