Job Description Summary:
This position impacts patient safety in the organization through a focus on culture and process improvement and measured by the OhioHealth Quality scorecard and other enterprise quality and patient safety metrics.
He/She drives clinical quality through continuous process improvement and standardizes clinical care around evidence-based medicine, across the healthcare continuum, resulting in improved quality and cost outcomes as deployed through Clinical Enterprise, PRRI program, the Quality Management Council, and OhioHealth Clinical Guidance Council.
He/She also will be accountable for the performance and coordination of the OhioHealth Research Institute.
Medical Doctor (Required) MED - Medical License - American Board of Medical Specialties
MD or DO from accredited Medical School
Board Certification and residency program in the area of specialty
Understanding and ability to present statistic process control (SPC) charts
Thorough understanding of quality improvement methodology (7-step CPI or PDCA)
Ability to manage a large portfolio of projects
Ability to work with medical staff in regards to change management
Passion for driving clinical quality improvement and advance patient safety culture.
Kind and Length of Experience: 7 yrs + as Medical Director
