The Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (OMHSP) in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is responsible for providing strategic guidance directed toward improving the quality of mental health care for over one and a half million Veterans nation-wide. The Deputy Director, Substance Abuse Disorders is located in Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (OMHSP) at VA Central Office (VACO). The mission of OMHSP is to advance quality of care for Veterans with mental illness including substance use disorders.
