Here’s what you will do: The Executive Director will help stand up and support the Prescription Drug Affordability Board created under HB 844 (2021). The board is directed to study the impact of prescription drug costs on Oregon residents, state and local governments, and the health care system. The Executive Director will lead DCBS staff in conducting research and drafting reports to the board and the legislature. The Executive Director will also manage Oregon’s Drug Price Transparency Program, which provides accountability for prescription drug pricing through transparency of specific cost and price information from pharmaceutical manufacturers and health insurers.
