Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Children’s) seeks an accomplished supply chain leader to serve at this well-respected healthcare institution as the next Vice President, Supply Chain.
Children’s is an exceptional pediatric system with three hospitals and approximately 11,500 staff. As one of the most respected pediatric healthcare systems in the country, Children’s is dedicated to making the lives of children better and healthier. The organization serves 440,000 children annually and every day lifesaving work happens at Children’s; from pediatric cancer treatments and organ transplants to fracture care and appendectomies, Children's cares for the community's children and teens across Georgia and beyond. In commitment to serving this mission, over the next 10 years, Children’s will execute a service expansion plan both within its current facilities and building new facilities throughout the Metro Atlanta area to provide additional access to patient care.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP will have the opportunity to evolve a system-focused approach to supply chain across the organization, including assisting and ensuring that organizational supply needs are supported and exceeded as a new 1.8 million square foot replacement hospital continues to be built. Children’s is also currently implementing Workday Supply Chain across the enterprise in order to optimize and drive consistency and a "One Children's" approach. The next VP will play a key role in developing a best-in-class model in supply chain and will be seen as a strategic partner to clinical and administrative leaders across the organization.
Children's is seeking an experienced and visionary executive to lead this transformation. The ideal candidate will bring considerable experience leading a wide breadth of supply chain management in an integrated health system or a similarly complex organization. Candidates should possess at least seven years of experience of progressively responsible management level experience in supply chain, particularly in developing a systemized, consistent and metric-driven supply chain function. The incoming leader should possess the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to collaborate with peers, patients, clinical partners, and staff across the system. A Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's degree is preferred. Above all, candidates should resonate with Children’s commitment to the highest standard of patient and family-centered care.
