Reporting to the East Region President, the SVP President acts as the Chief Executive Officer of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - McKinney. The President will manage the business so as to meet corporate goals approved by the organization's Board of Trustees, within guidelines provided by the Baylor Scott & White Health. The President is a key partner in the top management team of Baylor Scott & White Health that is broadly accountable for the success of all aspects of the operations of the Hospital. He/she has a special obligation to work closely with the other members of the top management, both within Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) and other hospitals, to assure continuous integration and consolidation of these activities with theirs. Oversees the day-to-day operating management of Medical Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establish Hospital-wide administrative policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees to assure they are informed and involved in areas of their responsibility.
- Serve as the Board in-residence to the Medical Staff.
- Serve as one source of liaison between the Medical Staff and the Board of Trustees.
- Coordinate activities of the Medical Staff with other departments.
- Ensure a high level of quality patient care.
- Execute, as authorized by the Board of Trustees, resolutions and contracts for the Medical Center.
- Participate in professional, civic and service organizations as a Representative of the Medical Center.
- Commitment to Baylor Scott & White Health's values and to its development.
- Commitment to the vertical integration and horizontal consolidation of the Baylor Scott & White Health.
- Leadership ability to nurture people in their pursuit of high standards.
- Judgment and experience to make sound decisions on complicated matters affecting people, programs, finances and other priorities.
- Versatility to understand and work with people of differing temperaments and to manage complex activities under difficult time constraints and other pressures.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Acute care hospital leadership experience
- MBA or MHA
- Experience in a highly-competitive healthcare market

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree
- 8+ years of experience
