Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience in a large complex hospital or health care system
- Five (5) years of practice management experience
- Three (3) years of financial management experience
- Experience with unionized workforce
- Previous public healthcare system experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Master's in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or related Master's in health-related field from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of specialty care and/or primary care experience
Typical Duties
- Works with Chief of Ambulatory to develop staffing models and patient care models for new services and new initiatives
- Leads the implementation of new services and new initiatives
- Works across the system with CCH Leadership to develop new services/initiative as well as design improvement efforts
- Ensures directors and managers are leading efficient day to day operations, achievement of long and short-term performance goals, and driving a culture focused on high quality health care and service excellence
- Creates and manages the budget and financial overview
- Ensures access to clinics and coordinates management of referrals into clinics from internal and external partners to facilitate ease of throughput with coordination of return of results seamlessly
- Develops strategic initiatives to increase domestic spending opportunities
- Evaluates and makes necessary change to improve processes to streamline referral management from Emergency Services
- Ensures cost effective use of resources by monitoring budget/financial performance and resource management of the clinics
- Resolves problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies
- Analyzes and recommends changes in organizational systems, policies and procedures and ensures their implementation
- Performs data processing to analyze, monitor and report statistical information for timely management decisions and as required for federal, state and local agencies
- Participates with CCH Leadership in development of operational and capital budgets
- Participates in strategic planning for operational use of workforce, service lines and facilities
- Supports effective operations for partnering departments including scheduling, referral management and utilization review
- Uses knowledge of informatics and electronic medical record system configuration, develops approach to measuring program processes, staff performance and impact on CCH quality and cost experience
- Fosters relationships and collaboration amongst all key internal and external stakeholders
- Ensures clinical integration by partnering with CCH Leadership in the development and realization of overall objectives for a complex health care delivery system
- Performs other duties as assigned
