Provides financial leadership and insight on hospital and region strategy and leads financial performance monitoring and response. Develops short and long-term financial plans ensuring alignment with the region and system priorities. Utilizes metrics and organization vision to lead and direct finance activities. Challenges assumptions and standards of business to improve overall financial performance, operational effectiveness and service to organization customers.
Serves as a member of the campus executive leadership teams, providing strategic direction on finance related issues. Works effectively as a leader in a dynamic environment and matrixed organization. Promotes teamwork within and across the organization by maintaining positive relationships and utilizing effective problem-solving skills.
Leads financial performance reviews across the organization. Participates in and leads financial committees or teams.
Develops and promotes a framework to drive financial acumen and accountability across the organization.
Oversees human resource management for direct reports, creating a culture of employee engagement. Ensures HR policies are administered consistently across function. Identifies succession planning needs.
Leads financial planning and performance. Develops and implements benchmarking and performance management standards and processes. Utilizes related financial systems and tools.
Prepares materials and presents to campus executive leadership and governance.
Ensures achievement of annual financial performance goals.
Ensures optimization of resources to allow for continued capital investment.
Assists in strategy development and optimal contracts for managed care payors and governmental reimbursement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ten years of experience in Hospital financial operations, with five years in leadership. Hospital Academic Medical Center experience preferred.
