NANI’s scope of care and services includes difficult-to-control hypertension, kidney disease, kidney injury, kidney transplant, and related services, as well as groundbreaking and lifesaving clinical research and consulting services.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is an instrumental leader, responsible for operational management, strategy, and organizational culture. The incumbent is responsible for leading multiple departments, including clinic operations. In this capacity, the COO is responsible for developing operational strategies, priorities, and administrative direction, while also identifying innovative solutions and working closely with internal and external partners. The COO also plays an essential role in designing, refining, and integrating company-wide systems and processes to ensure alignment and operational efficiency, revenue, margin, and patient satisfaction.
Runs multi-state care delivery system through hospital, office, and dialysis clinic places of service.
Ensures collaboration between corporate, clinical and non-clinical departments, medical staff, and other affiliated people and organizations to deliver an integrated operational approach.
Facilitates company strategy by providing operational leadership and implementing actionable business strategies, plans, and procedures that align with the company’s short- and long-term objectives.
Helps lead the transition to Value Based Care.
Works to develop and enhance systems, policies, and procedures that positively affect patient satisfaction, physician productivity and engagement, and the patient experience. Ensures services, administrative protocols, and procedures are implemented consistently across all regions and medical practices.
Partners with business leaders and other key stakeholders to inspire change and implement new business processes to deliver high quality, efficient and accessible patient care.
Recommends to the CEO and President courses of action pertinent to efficient operation of assigned departments.
In collaboration with finance and IT, establishes KPI metrics and uses data reporting and analysis to evaluate operational performance.
Assess opportunities for new revenue streams. Leads merger and acquisition activities as a key strategy to achieve growth and revenue targets.
Builds and maintains departmental structure, operating standards, and practices that are responsive and adaptable to business needs.
Builds and maintains trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
Develops, motivates, and leads a high-performance management team through a thoughtful, constructive, creative, and energetic style.
Maintains familiarity with and assures compliance with the current government, regulatory, accrediting bodies, and contract requirements for delivery of clinical services by monitoring operations and initiating changes where required.
15+ years of progressively responsible, successful healthcare management experience. Proven track record of delivering operational excellence and successfully meeting or exceeding organizational targets, achieving ambitious goals, and driving significant organizational impact.
7+ years of senior leadership experience, including ability to lead organizational change while strengthening trust and building strong relationships across the organization.
Multi-state or multi-region experience required, overseeing a large number of employees. Must possess a balanced perspective and ability manage both strategic and tactical initiatives.
Experience with Value Based Care highly preferred. Experience in a high-performing and growing medical practice highly preferred.
Proven ability to leverage financial and operational metrics to drive organizational decision and achieve strategic goals.
Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with ability to perform and prioritize tasks seamlessly with attention to detail and follow-through.
