WittKieffer and Hunterdon Health have partnered in the national search for an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (EVP/COO). This new role was created for a highly collaborative, visible and operationally-minded healthcare leader to lead operations and execute key strategies for one of the most high-performing healthcare organizations in New Jersey.
Hunterdon Health is a successful, independent not-for-profit community health system consisting of Hunterdon Medical Center (HMC), Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation, Hunterdon Regional Community Health (HRCH), and Midjersey Health Corporation, which houses the system’s for-profit business lines, including joint ventures with physicians. Hunterdon Health resides in a competitive marketplace and has been able to maintain their independence by strategic partnerships with their medical staff, a strong payor mix and loyal community. For the past three review cycles, HMC achieved Magnet™ designation, earned its fifth straight "A" safety grade from Leapfrog Group, and is a 2022 Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recipient.
The selected EVP/COO will possess 10 years of hospital and/or health system experience leading inpatient and outpatient operations and services. The chosen EVP/COO will have a strong understanding of how to best impact integrated care through enhancing services and promoting ‘systemness’ across the community. The preferred leader will be a performance-oriented, operationally-superb, and innovative leader with a track record of optimizing quality and safety outcomes, employee engagement and operational and financial performance in hospital/health system environments. Furthermore, the new EVP/COO will possess exceptional relationship and team building skills, and bring an innovative systems approach to problem solving, consensus building and advancing contemporary process improvement initiatives. This is an outstanding opportunity to serve as a key member of a high-performing, quality-focused senior leadership team in a results-driven healthcare system.
