Vanderbilt Health - Executive Search Team is conducting a national search for an Executive Director - Workforce Strategy.
The Executive Director - Workforce Strategy will work with and in collaboration with the CHRO, coordinates and supports HR innovation and long range strategy in alignment with Vanderbilt Health's strategic plan, mission, and values. Reporting to the Vanderbilt Health Chief Human Resources Officer, this role is a key member of the senior HR team partnering with internal HR colleagues and operations, along with various stakeholders throughout the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as an integral member of the HR Senior Leadership Team to oversee strategic and growth planning activities, establishing consistent project methodologies and communication channels
Measures and reports progress to internal HR and operational stakeholders to ensure progress on operational excellence
Assigned strategic special projects leveraging and coordinating with appropriate subject matter expects and resources; aligns cross-functional teams toward common goals
Spearheads oversight for merger and acquisition work as needed
Additional Responsibilities/Profile and Requirements:
A track record of leadership effectiveness, strong business acumen, and a demonstrated history of achieving results through collaboration, strong influence and communication.
Demonstrated success in leading and evaluating cutting edge HR programs in a large, complex organization.
Strong and broad knowledge of all core HR areas to facilitate multi disciplinary projects including but not limited to talent acquisition, total rewards, and HR business partners using contemporary technologies (e.g., Workday or similar systems).
Ability to foster innovative approaches in a complex system, provide strategic thought leadership, exhibit strong influence over change processes, and measure and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan, and execute complex projects with a focus on results. Outstanding consultation, coaching and listening skills with the ability to effectively establish trust and credibility.
Proven ability to analyze data and information to identify problems and opportunities, and develop recommendations, solutions, and interventions that reflect good business judgement and support the organizational values.
Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions preferred.
