Henry Ford Health seeks a dynamic, innovative, results-oriented leader to serve as the next President, Macomb Hospital and Campus Operations (President). This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with a demonstrated track record of successful operational leadership and an orientation toward collaboration and action to advance excellence and growth at a high-performing, clinically-sophisticated community hospital that is a critical member of Henry Ford Health.
This position is open following the recent retirement of Barbara Rossman who served as President since 2004. Reporting to the EVP & CEO,Care Delivery System Operations, the President will provide overall leadership for the growth and performance of Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. The President will advance the vision for Macomb Hospital and lead efforts to achieve top performance in quality, access and service and will ensure all key performance goals are realized, in coordination with Henry Ford Health goals, initiatives and colleagues. In collaboration with a dedicated and talented team, the President, must have a zeal for advancing a culture of performance and service that will further enhance and expand Macomb Hospital's already strong regional brand.
Macomb Hospital recently completed the construction and opening of a new $265 million patient tower. Several growth-related projects are slated for capital investments, as part of overall service line strategies for Henry Ford Health. As the service area continues to experience population growth, the President will be charged with optimizing campus operations and identifying inpatient and ambulatory growth opportunities. The President will optimize the hospital's integration and overall potential within the health system, collaborating on the market strategy and developing innovative solutions to continue growing channels of care. The President will continue to strengthen organizational alignment with its employed, independent, and contracted physicians in ways that further support and advance community access, organizational sustainability and competitiveness, provider engagement and positioning for value-based payments and population health strategies. It is vital for the President to partner effectively with physicians and others toward realizing quality, access, and growth goals.
The successful candidate will have significant and broad operational and executive leadership experience in a community hospital within an integrated health system organization. Candidates should have a track record of leading growth-related initiatives, including advancing clinical services within the context of a matrixed, multi-site health system. The successful candidate will have a stellar track record of building trust with providers and staff. The successful candidate will be viewed as a highly engaging, courageous leader who builds authentic, trusting relationships with others by effectively communicating, listening and enlisting others in driving change.
Given the significant role of Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in the community, the President's role is one of local prominence. The President will be a sought-out resource on healthcare issues from a variety of community leaders. The President must be a visible, naturally engaging, and approachable relationship builder with the ability to develop strong relationships with donors and other key stakeholders. The leader will inspire and oversee approaches to advancing the quality of care, operational effectiveness and efficiency and partner with and leverage the hospital's dedicated, talented board along with clinical and administrative leaders to optimize their collective performance and contributions.
