Job Summary and Qualifications
The role of the Division Vice President (DVP) of Practice Operations is to oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of all division based employed and managed Physician practices and advanced practice providers. The DVP ensures regulatory and HCA policies and procedures related to division clinical operations are implemented in an efficient and effective manner. This role also has overall responsibility for all aspects of the development and implementation of compliance, training and education, policies and procedures, best practices.
What you will do in this role:
You will report to the Group Vice President (GVP) of Practice Operations for the Atlantic Group
You will have four (4) direct reports and lead a total team of 1,285 HCA team members
You will have full operational oversight of practice operations for the MidAmerica Division consisting of 600+ providers and 125+ multi-specialty practice locations
You will support PSG’s mission, vision and values, as well as provides support to hospital facilities operations management related to physicians
You will provides division-level leadership, direction and ongoing administration and management for all aspects of physician operations
You will deliver creative and innovative solutions to CEOs and Division Leadership teams, related to the physician needs of HCA hospital facilities
You will work effectively with HCA Physician Services management and support teams while serving as liaison to hospital CEOs and Division management to meet their physician needs
You will oversee executive leaders to ensure physician practices are operated in accordance with HCA Physician Services Group standards and policies
You will execute physician employment and professional services contracts in accordance with hospital CEO and Division management expectations while insuring compliance with all applicable regulatory authorities and HCA policies
You will participate as part of the HCA Physician Services team of Operations VP’s address planning, budgets, new products and services, compliance, and other physician practice issues
You will serve as the chief point of contact for our employed physicians, developing and maintaining positive and productive relationships
You will work effectively with the physician recruiting function of HCA Physician Services and hospital liaisons to support the placement of qualified physicians in HCA market
You will work with physicians and division leadership to provide innovative practice growth and quality solutions that will maintain and improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
You will commit to the success and financial wellbeing of HCA by challenging others to excel and holding themselves and other accountable to achieving results
You will be required to travel locally to represent PSG to corporate stakeholders within division and markets up to 30% of work time
You will perform other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field required
Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
7+ years of experience in practice management required
5+ years of experience in managing multiple physician practices across a wide geographic area
