About the Role:
Job Summary
The Executive Director of Strategic Business Development is a key leader within Northeast Georgia Health System's Strategy Division and is charged with supporting the development and execution of the strategic direction of the organization across the greater region. The Executive Director is responsible for new business development, as well as maintaining, growing and developing existing programs and services that are viable and essential to the Health System's strategic vision. This position is responsible for analyzing the organization's market position, identifying market trends and opportunities and advising the executive team on business development strategies aimed at achieving the strategic vision Facilitating strategic provider alignment across the broader region is a core responsibility. The Executive Director will lead the Planning and Regional Network Development teams and ensure their key priorities are carried out.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree in either Healthcare Administration or Business Administration preferred with 5-10 years of related management experience, with a preference for experience in healthcare strategy. Must have demonstrated experience and ability to direct and effectively manage decision support resources and outreach. Prior business planning for integrated healthcare delivery system and physician sales and outreach experience preferred. Operational experience also highly desirable.
Minimum Experience:
Strong relationship skills, including sales and outreach experience and customer relations management. Must possess strong data analytics skills as well as financial expertise and insight essential to strategic business planning.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
This position will prioritize and drive strategic initiatives across the integrated System, maintaining close and continual collaboration with the NGHS Leadership team, maximizing smart growth strategies and ensuring organizational essentiality in the marketplace.
Bring forward to NGHS Leadership emerging technologies, market opportunities, potential partner affiliations, industry reform best practices, etc., to set and drive appropriate enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
Service and Market Development: Location and Spatial Analytics (e.g., optimize NGHS and Affiliate service offerings and locations), demographic and service "hot spot" assessments, marketing activity ($ vs. #) by business line adjusted for scale.
Physician Manpower Planning: demand forecasting, specialty risk assessment, alignment opportunities, gaps/portfolio mix.
Market Intelligence: continually monitors competitor/market activity to inform strategic decision-making; engages and represents NGHS across the market's business development community (e.g., Chamber Economic Development Committee, DOT/GHMPO).
Business Intelligence: Organize staff and resources in support of strategic data services development; working with organizational decision support resources to track, measure, and report and monitor through DVM; extensively utilizes business intelligence sources such as Marketware, SG2, other software platforms.
Serves as Strategic Advisor to Real Estate function of NGHS to maintain alignment between System's real estate portfolio and system service distribution strategy(s).
Works closely with Board level strategic planning workgroups, assessing strategic opportunities/threats, facilitating guidance and development of recommendations for specific strategic initiatives as identified above.
