Capital Blue Cross has exclusively retained AMN Healthcare to lead a national search to recruit the next Market President of Dominion National, a key subsidiary offering a full line of dental and vision products and other services. The Market President role is eligible for a hybrid work model, with onsite visibility at the Capital Blue Cross corporate offices in Harrisburg, PA and Dominion National in Crytal City, VA.
The Opportunity:
The Market President role for Dominion National is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the organization while driving growth, member experience and performance. The Market President will be an accomplished dynamic, visionary and results-oriented healthcare executive with a proven track record of developing and leading high performing sales teams, while ensuring highest levels of client and member service delivery and strong financial performance. Reporting to the CFO of Capital Blue Cross, the Market President of Dominion National will provide the leadership, strategic guidance and management direction necessary to fulfill the organization’s mission “to be the easiest benefits company to work with on the path to wellness.”
The Market President is responsible for the organization’s profit and loss, with a focus on strategic planning, growth, and profitability of the dental and visions lines of business. The focus will be to increase penetration of the existing book of business, enhance the current products and services, as well as pursue new segments and distribution channels while ensuring profitability. The Market President will oversee sales strategy and business development, account management, product development and implementation, provider relations, operations services and solutions, as well as marketing.
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of ten years of senior leadership experience in the insurance industry with responsibility for sales, business development and operations. Health plan experience required.
The successful candidate will understand the sales and underwriting practices related to the pricing of dental and vision products.
Experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield organizations and/or large health insurance companies preferred.
Proven track record of developing high performing teams and leaders.
Successful experience managing financial performance of lines of business or organizations.
Demonstrated expertise in business development and sales, coupled with a consistent record of pinpointing new prospects and propelling business expansion.
A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or a related field is required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degree preferred.
