CommonSpirit Health (CommonSpirit), one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the country, is seeking an experienced, genuine, and progressive physician leader with a demonstrated leadership capacity to serve as the System Senior Vice-President (SSVP) for the Physician Enterprise (PE) Northwest Region. The NW Region is committed to delivering world-class clinical excellence. In 2019, Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health came together to form CommonSpirit. Today, the health system consists of 140 hospitals and more than 2,200 care sites in 24 states and serves 20 million patients in large cities and smaller communities across America. The Northwest Region contains more than 20,000 team members and nearly 5,400 employed physicians and affiliated providers. The NW Region provides expert, compassionate medical care at 12 hospitals and nearly 300 care sites throughout the Puget Sound Market located in Washington; and two separate markets located in central and southeastern Oregon.
The SSVP serves at the forefront of clinical innovation and can scale clinical care to improve overall quality and safety as well as elevate a connected patient experience. This physician leader will serve as the accountable executive responsible for the physician enterprise portfolio of healthcare assets across the Region which includes, but is not limited to, ambulatory outpatient services, physician and APP engagement (regardless of alignment model and care location), employment and other business models, academic partnerships, as well as other alternative healthcare delivery systems. The SSVP ensures the strategic direction and PE operations for the Region are sound and congruent with the mission, vision, and values of CommonSpirit Health.
The successful candidate will be an executive with a substantive track record of leadership in a complex, integrated delivery system of scale, and intimate knowledge of clinical practice, quality, and patient safety. A Doctor of Medicine, or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree is required and completion of postgraduate medical education in an ACGME-approved residency program in any medical specialty with appropriate board certification. An advanced degree in healthcare or business-related field is desired.

The pay range for this position is $461,153 - $655,391. The referenced pay range represents Common Spirit's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience, and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. The selected individual will also be eligible for a comprehensive incentive program and benefits package.
