The President will ensure that New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) functions at the highest levels including delivering safe, high-quality coordinated care, efficient management of resources, smooth and efficient administrative services, and implementation of strategic and operational plans. The President will be responsible for the executive leadership, strategic growth, and fiscal health of NEBH Hospital. They will recognize the inclusive and collaborative culture of the hospital that has made it a success in the community and among its patients and further integrate into the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) system.
The President will execute NEBH’s plan within the system. The President will work collaboratively with system-wide leadership and other BILH hospital and business unit presidents to advance goals to strengthen its mission of becoming a fully integrated system of patient care, education, research, and community service. This individual will identify new strategic partnerships that extend into the community, ensuring a robust health system distinguished by offering outstanding patient care programs and strong financial performance. The President will be a strong operational leader with sound fiscal management experience who will continue NEBH’s culture of quality and patient satisfaction. The President will be a visible and enthusiastic leader within the organization and community and a vital partner in increasing philanthropic support for the Hospital.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Regional Leadership: Serve as a member of the regional leadership team charged with creating strategies that reflect the needs of the market area. Collaborate with regional executives and other Presidents to achieve system objectives. Share accountability for achievement of regional performance metrics.
Strategic Thinking: Ensure the NEBH vision and operational plan are aligned with regional and system strategies.
Clinical Delivery: Facilities the development and implementation of integrated clinical service delivery platforms and ensures Integration and alignment.
Engagement: Establish trust and cultivating relationships with stakeholder entities, including colleagues, physicians, health care providers, payers, community organizations/members, donors, and prospects. Champions behaviors that include respect for individuals, open, honest and direct communication.
Bachelor’s degree, required. Master’s Degree in health administration or related management disciplines, and a minimum of ten years of leadership experience as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer or other clinical or business/executive position in integrated healthcare entity
Must have advanced business and executive leadership skills to develop new or enhance existing clinical and operational strategies, business plans, policies, and programs
Strong financial and strategic skills with the ability to create a vision for the future which takes into account hospital and system goals and strategies.
Strong operations skills including the ability to balance quality, customer service, efficiency and financial performance
Proficient in exercise of personal influence, building consensus, providing leadership, with ability to navigate a diverse group of stakeholders, build a network of allies, and interface with state and local regulators, earning and maintaining stakeholder trust and respect.
Proven ability to formulate an operational strategy, guide the development of operating plans, and drive performance to achieve or surpass goals.
Track record of recruiting, developing and retaining an exceptional team of senior leaders and clinicians.
