Citizens Memorial Hospital seeks a collaborative and strategic physician leader to serve as Chief Medical Officer, guiding clinical excellence across our expanding rural healthcare system.

The CMO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and provides clinical leadership to ensure patients and residents receive the safest, highest quality care throughout CMH and affiliated entities. This influential position supports alignment between medical staff and administration, oversees physician performance and engagement, and provides leadership in quality improvement, medical staff affairs, compliance, strategic initiatives and physician and non-physician recruitment, orientation and onboarding.

This is a full-time executive leadership position with the opportunity to continue working PRN within your specialty at CMH. No clinical call will be required.

 Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong clinical background with at least 7 years of practice experience
• 3 years of progressive and collaborative physician leadership experience in a hospital or integrated health system
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Experience with rural healthcare delivery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in healthcare administration
• Track record of quality improvement leadership
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, value-based care models and medical staff governance

Preferred qualifications include:

• Advanced degree (MBA, MHA,MPH)
• ACHE certification preferred, but not required
• AAPL CMO certification preferred but not required
