HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our client, South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC), for the Vice President, Financial Operations position. The Vice President of Financial Operations will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the financial reporting function of the enterprise, which includes the following functions: General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Project Accounting, Alliance Accounting, Foundation Accounting, and Fixed Asset Accounting. This role manages commercial banking relationships, cash flow (including payroll and accounts payable), and ensures accurate financial statements across all entities. Responsibilities include leading audits, overseeing tax reporting, developing and presenting financial reports with variance analysis, and supporting executive decision-making through strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills to recruit, train, and mentor finance staff, and collaborate closely with budgeting and decision support teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of accounting or finance.
Master’s degree and/or CPA.
Seven plus years of healthcare finance experience.
Two plus years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Prepare, Review, and Present Consolidated Multi-entity financial statements.
Experience developing and delivering Executive Leadership and Board level Presentations.
Third party reimbursement experience is highly desirable. Includes preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Determining accounts receivable valuation and maintenance of settlement reserves.
Ability to prepare written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, patients, and the general public.
Graduate Medical Education experience is desirable.
Capital market transaction experience.
Position Highlights:
