The role you’ll contribute:
The Executive Director of Products and Engineering provides leadership to align strategy to product and service solutions for the customers of AIT and AdventHealth patients, ensuring transparency and accountability for all consumer facing AIT products in the portfolio. The portfolio and role covers all external websites, patient portals, access/integrated products, user experience (UX), product development and engineering, and new vendor selection. On the Product side, the Executive Director is responsible for advising and guiding product owners on key customer solutions to drive the long-term adoption of all products, ensuring proper product alignment to the needs of customers (i.e., patients, clinicians, internal stakeholders and leadership). On the Engineering side, the Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the engineering efforts of AdventHealth Everywhere’s core software and the development team, consisting of multiple technical managers in the fields of dev ops, API, web and mobile.

- Owns product / service strategy, design, and development across all app and web applications and consumer product lines
- Lead the product and engineering teams (e.g., product owners, developers, and designers) and encourage teams to “Own the Product” and bring opportunities to life
- Be an expert on AIT digital health customers; interact with them as needed to understand their needs and desires, conduct market research, and monitor competitor activity to identify market opportunities
- Drive technology decisions and oversee the implementation, operations, and management of end-to-end product solutions, including strategy, planning and delivery.
- Create and coach product team members through providing guidance and direction to deliver strategic and tactical results
- Lead efforts for cross-portfolio synergies across product lines
- Solution Creation & Design
- Continuously evaluate the product portfolio and associated product lines through analytics and reporting; Develop options to improve and prioritize, with the overall goal of product competitiveness and value to the customer
- Nimbly adapt, manage, and maintain products to delight customers and maintain a competitive edge
- Monitor customer satisfaction with product lines and initiate improvements/corrective actions as necessary to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
- Look for opportunities to optimize the product set through analyzing total cost of ownership for customers
- Evaluate program performance against expectations and influences changes to programs to improve competitive position and optimize performance
- Accelerate the migration of core services into the next generation technology platform
- Operations
- Develop and continuously enhance the product delivery methodology and standards
- Develop and enforce standard processes and configuration guidelines
- Continuously evaluate the collective set of product portfolios, capitalizing on product evolution and product innovation in order to stay competitive and drive value
- Responsible for product portfolio management, including product portfolio budgets and product line budgets, across the AdventHealth digital product portfolios
- Establish and manage guidelines for product documentation (e.g., product requirements, product development roadmaps)
- Communication
- Frequent collaboration with other functions across AdventHealth (e.g., Physician Enterprise, Marketing) to develop best-fit solutions for customers and ensure consistency across strategy, implementation, management, and operations
- Manage and maintains relationships with key product solution vendors/partners to support product portfolios
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, IT, marketing, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a proven track record of leading, designing, developing, and managing fully integrated initiatives and successfully leading teams.
- 5 years senior experience in a large complex health program that included digital & virtual care services.
- Experience utilizing web analytics, Content Management Systems (Drupal), CRM (Salesforce, Oracle)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Knowledge and expertise within the healthcare industry
- Master’s degree
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
- CSPO
- PMP
- Epic application certification or proficiency
