Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, the flagship hospital for the system, is a 691-beds teaching hospital that has served the community since 1911. Phoebe is a regional center for cancer treatment, cardiac medicine/surgery, gastrointestinal disease and neuroscience.

The Vice President of Nursing will provide nursing leadership and strategic oversight for Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Obstetrics. This individual will serve as a transformational leader, guiding a team of clinical directors, managers, and staff to advance patient care, strengthen operations, and align nursing initiatives with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate will be both a clinician and strategist - someone who brings operational excellence, strong business acumen, and a deep commitment to clinical quality, workforce engagement, and patient-centered outcomes.

This individual will have:

• Passion for clinical excellence, innovation, and the professional development of nursing staff
• An active nursing license with a bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including oversight of multiple departments or service lines
