Morrow County Health District in Heppner, Oregon is actively recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead, guide, and direct all activities of the Health District. To be successful, the CEO must lead by example and embody the values that make Morrow County Health District successful.

Morrow County Health District is a non-profit Oregon Special District that offers many healthcare services at locations throughout the county. Although we’re smaller than many rural healthcare systems, we offer a surprising range of services to care for our patients right here, close to home. With a hospital in Heppner; clinics in Heppner, Irrigon and Ione; an immediate care clinic in Boardman; and ambulance, home health and hospice services, our county residents depend on us to provide exceptional care.

Job Details
The CEO plans, organizes, and directs all activities of the Morrow County Health District and provides leadership to the hospital management team as well as the 5-member Board of Directors.
Possess a broad knowledge to lead all aspects of operating, maintaining, and growing a Critical Access Hospital, Rural Health Clinics, and a County EMS Service.
To be successful in this role, one must be able to engage staff at every level, motivate and inspire our employees and community to help achieve the District’s mission and vision.
Will develop and present proposals and recommendations clearly, logically, and persuasively in public meetings; and represent the District effectively in negotiations and other dealings on a variety of difficult, complex, sensitive, and confidential issues.
Qualifications:
Completion of a bachelor's degree or master’s degree program from a University or College accredited by a body approved by the Department of Education in business or hospital administration.
Three (3) years of current hospital administrative CEO experience OR (4) years in Rural, Critical Access hospital “C-Suite” experience.
Broad knowledge of the theory, principles, practices, and techniques of hospital and public administration, including budgeting and financial planning, financial management, human resources, safety and quality control, information technology, materials, facilities and operations management, and other general operational support services.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and court decisions applicable to hospital, and public administration; organization, functions, legal requirements, operations, rules and policies of the Board of Directors; and, principles and practices of effective management and supervision
