The Vice President of Ambulatory Business Lines will oversee the development, implementation and daily operations of emerging non-hospital based ambulatory business operations for MaineHealth. This position will work with the system's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Transformation Officer to ensure the appropriate processes and procedures are in place to coordinate and streamline non-hospital-based operations across the health system. These initiatives and strategies include, but are not limited to, developing and operationalizing MaineHealth’s urgent care, ambulatory surgery center and imaging delivery models. Also cultivating new and innovative models for the delivery of non-hospital-based services. The Vice President will be responsible for delivering on key ambulatory critical success factors including lowering the cost of care, consumer focus, standardized predictable processes and lean operations.
The Vice President will have an aligned and collaborative relationship with MaineHealth system partners, including system Service Lines, the MaineHealth Medical Group, Regional Presidents and Shared Services Departments; particularly payor strategy, quality and safety and the MaineHealth ACO.
Required Knowledge & Experience
Minimum of five years of progressive senior administrative leadership experience directly in health care and ambulatory business lines.
Graduate degree in related field (MBA, MHA, RN, MA or MS).
Excellent interpersonal skills; experience in working and collaborating closely with more senior management and physician leadership, and community-based agencies and partners.
Demonstrated supervisory, management and collaboration skills, with physicians, nurses and the broader multidisciplinary team.
Proven experience successfully implementing and leading change and building relationships and trust across the continuum in a complex health care environment.
Demonstrated strong financial and resource management skills and a thorough understanding of the business side of healthcare delivery.
